Paediatricians
We work with a network of paediatricians who are able to provide assessments to clients nationwide.
Over the past 12 months, our paediatricians have provided expert evidence in over 150 cases.
Paediatric opinion can be useful in establishing origins/mechanism of injury or to assess for the presence of a developmental disorder. Through a combination of clinical experience, physical examination (where appropriate), review of photographic evidence, medical records and other relevant documentation, such as educational information, an evidence-based opinion is produced.
Assessments can also advise on:
- Any further diagnostic testing which might be required, for example, genetic testing or assessment for Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Other professionals who could provide support/interventions for a child, for example, speech and language therapists
- How a child’s development compares with normal developmental milestones
- Whether developmental delay is due to organic or non-organic factors.
